RDH Engineering

Rob Hesketh, proprietor of RDH Engineering (York) Ltd, is originally from a farming background. Having obtained his National Diploma in Engineering in 1991, he then gained valuable experience of welding, fabricating and engineering on large arable and dairy farms in Australia. This was followed by a few months in Sweden and Denmark working in the construction industry. From 1995 he worked as an agricultural engineer at Malton based R Yates and Sons, before moving into the heavy plant industry in 2000 as a mobile plant fitter, working on a wide range of sites such as quarries, rail sidings and factories. This work took him to sites as far north as Edinburgh down to Cambridge.

RDH Engineering was established in 2007, becoming a Limited Company in 2009. Rob specialises in repairing and servicing heavy plant, construction machinery and agricultural equipment. He also offers a fully mobile welding and fabrication service.

In 2009, Rob trained as an OFTEC engineer, adding domestic oil boiler and and oil tank installations to the range of services he offers.
